Senior Food Program

Texas County Food Pantry is a provider for the USDA Commodities Supplemental Food Program (Senior Box).  This program works to improve the nutrition and health of low-income individuals 60 years or older by supplementing their diets monthly, but is limited by the number of boxes available.

We have four satellite locations across the county that distribute Senior Boxes monthly at dedicated sites in Plato, Cabool, Summersville, and Licking. For more information, call 417-967-4484 and ask for the Food Manager.

Weekend School Food Program

The Texas County Food Pantry partners with local school districts to help provide nutritious and easy-to-prepare food to children in need. Currently there are 150 students benefiting from this program.
