Types of Services Offered

Grant funds are provided for rent, utilities, mortgage payments and minor home repair.  The main goal of the program is to prevent homelessness and provide shelter that is adequate.  The main source of funding for this program is the Missouri Housing Trust Fund.  The program is supplemented by funds from the Salvation Army, Emergency Food and Shelter Program and donations from local churches, community groups, and individuals. 

How to start

Call the intake office at 417-967-4484 or come in to receive more information. Monday - Friday, 10 am - 3 pm. 

Required Documents:

  • Social Security Cards for all household members.
  • Current, non-expired picture ID for all persons age 18+
  • Current income statement for all persons 18+
  • Piece of mail in applicant's name for proof of residence
  • Rental lease including Landlord information & signature
  • Mortgage stub/invoice and written evidence of title
  • Utility bill in applicant's name with vendor's information
